A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that an Italian auxiliary cruiser was blown up in the RAF attack on Tobruk on November 2; that German Air Force (GAF) Tobruk is ordered to defend a convoy arriving on November 3; that Kesselring is furious at the slowness of GAF fighter units in transferring to Africa, on November 2; the German Navy appreciates that the Zara has sunk off Tobruk, November 2; that Kesselring orders the GAF to push forward anti-aircraft batteries in the event of a crisis, on November 2; and a Panzer Army morning report for 2 November, noting British penetration.
