This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the Panzer Army considers the situation threatening in the extreme, and the German Air Force (GAF) are to give it support on November 3; that Tobruk is running out of aviation fuel and seeks supplies, on November 2; that the German Navy are to hand over supplies to the Panzer Army, on November 1; that German supply traffic is being interrupted by British raiders, with the Italian Air Force requested to form a patrol, on October 31; an Italian agent's report of an intended British landing on the night of November 2-3; that German tanks are to be dug in, and the completion of re-grouping is to be reported, on October 31; of an Italian and French secret military meeting in Algiers, discussing expected Allied landings, on October 31; that the GAF were informed of Axis submarine movements to Tobruk, on November 2; and of the GAF's reorganisation of its bomber schools, on October 29; on Norway: of a GAF shortage of torpedo aircraft and trained crews, on October 25; and from the Portuguese Foreign Ministry, information from Rome of the temporary removal of Mussolini, on October 31.
