A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the Panzer Army have held off a British attack north of Himeimat, on October 31; that the German Air Force (GAF) report a dangerous British thrust on the night of October 30-31; that emergency measures have been taken to deliver fuel and ammunition to the Panzer Army, from October 23-30; that Tobruk reports the sinking of a coastal ship, on October 31; and the following reports that are not on the coversheet: the GAF report three Ju52's were shot down on October 31; the Panzer Army still expects a main attack, and the Qattara Depression is free of the enemy, as of October 30; and the Panzer Army require ammunition and motor transport spares by air transport, on October 29; and on the Mediterranean: that the GAF are to carry out convoy protection duties.
