Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the Panzer Army expects a hospital ship to arrive at Benghazi on November 1; that the British are re-grouping at El Alamein for an attack; that German fuel supplies have eased, with a continuing shortage of ammunition and technical personnel on October 30; that Italian destroyers are to bring ammunition to Tobruk on October 31; on North Africa: that the German Air Force (GAF) are ordered to attack rail and road communications with El Alamein, on October 31-November 1; that the GAF are to disperse its Ju52 aircraft; that Matruh aerodrome is fully serviceable as of October 30; and that the Panzer Army were informed of deliveries of ammunition to Tobruk, on November 2-5.
