Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: a German Air Force (GAF) strength return for October 27; a post-strike report after an Allied air attack against Navarino on October 28; that an Allied convoy was spotted off Malta on October 28; and that the Ground Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Panzer Army expected the delivery of long-range smoke-throwing mortars by early December but Berlin states this will not be possible before January 1943 as the ammunition is not ready, with another smoke device being suggested as a replacement, on October 28.
