A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that an Allied naval battle group is operating from Malta, on October 30; of German Air Force (GAF) plans for October 31; that there will be no bombing attacks against Malta because of a lack of fighter escorts; and that Allied air attacks are causing an intolerable decline in GAF aircraft serviceability, as of October 30.
