A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that German Air Force (GAF) fighter escorts are to protect a supply convoy expected at Tobruk on October 30; of the Allied orders of battle as held by the Panzer Army on October 28; that Kesselring considers the aircraft losses sustained through Allied bombing to be intolerable; details of an RAF raid on Maleme airfield on October 27; and that fuel is to be flown daily to Africa from Athens from October 28; on North Africa: full details of the situation regarding the transport of fuel for the German Army by sea, on October 28; of a shortage of anti-aircraft cover at Tobruk and El Adem; that a GAF new heavy fighter unit is to move to Crete on October 29; and that a fighter unit has been transferred from Russia to Italy.
