A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: on a change of the location of the Panzer Army's HQ, possibly to Mersa Matruh, on October 27; that the Japanese ambassador in Berlin is calling a meeting of the heads of the mission in Europe for November 11; that the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is seeking information from the ambassador in London on a possible attack on Morocco, on October 22; Alba's reply on October 28; and from the Japanese ambassador in Ankara, Turkish information about a split in the Soviet government over continuing the war with Germany, on October 24.
