This file includes the following reports on North Africa: on a change of the location of the Panzer Army's HQ, possibly to Mersa Matruh, on October 27; that the Japanese ambassador in Berlin is calling a meeting of the heads of the mission in Europe for November 11; that the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is seeking information from the ambassador in London on a possible attack on Morocco, on October 22; Alba's reply on October 28; and from the Japanese ambassador in Ankara, Turkish information about a split in the Soviet government over continuing the war with Germany, on October 24.
