This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of a Panzer Army discussion on the possible use of gas warfare by the British, on October 18-19; and that Nehring is to return to the Panzer Army in mid-November; on Germany: a German secret service report that the British are to land at Schleswig, on October 16; that 6000 German Air Force (GAF) works personnel are to fill the gaps in the flak units, on October 14; from the Brazilian ambassador in London, that Brazilian journalists were received by Churchill on October 15; and from the Saudi Arabian minister in Vichy, on the decline of Germany and growing resentment in occupied Europe, on October 16.
