Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file contains a message from C to Eisenhower (see 1100). This file also contains messages from the Japanese ambassador in Vichy, on the French situation, Laval's difficulties and the defences at Dakar, on October 12; from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, on the Germans' inability to supply shipping and steel to Japan, from September 23; and on the Japanese Foreign Minister's disappointment, on October 15.
