Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that Stumme's luggage is supposedly arriving at Rome on October 15; of an indication of the return of Nehring, on October 15; the Panzer Army reports the deaths of two Italian generals on October 18; Naval Headlines, covering the Germans forming a landing-craft flotilla at Constanza for special operations; from the Turkish ambassador in Vichy, that the French government abandons its plan to send workmen to Germany in the face of a general strike, on October 16; and 110167, 110170 and 109526 were sent to Eisenhower (see 1113).
