A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Mediterranean: that Hitler makes Kesselring responsible for the defence of the Mediterranean and the Aegean, as of October 13; on North Africa: that the German Air Force (GAF) are to make fighter bomber attacks on enemy aerodromes, on October 16; and that the GAF are to treat Cairo as an open city, on October 16; and on Norway: of orders from Goering that the GAF must give up non-specialist personnel for duty as soldiers, on October 16.
