A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Central Europe: of the first indications of the 13th Air Corps, located at Grossborn and Mielau on October 5; on instructions for kitting out units for the formation of new German Air Force (GAF) brigades transferred to Grossborn and Mielau on September 18; Naval Headlines, covering that the Neurnberg is to carry out speed trials in Danzig Bay on October 5, and that three Italian submarines intended for use in the Caspian are en route for Yalta on October 3; from the Japanese ambassador in Vichy on French-U.S. relations, as of October 1; from the Portuguese minister in Ankara, on Turkish views on the war, as of October 3; and from the Turkish military attaché in London, an intelligence assessment of October 1.
