Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes a message to the Prime Minister (PM) from C and the following reports: Naval Headlines, covering a German convoy being attacked by Allied motor torpedo boats off Terschelling, on October 1; the Turkish ambassador in Vichy reports the despatch of anti-tank ammunition to Dakar, on October 1; and on North Africa: a Panzer Army day report for September 30, stating that combined German-Italian forces supported by the German Air Force (GAF) repulsed a strong Allied attack on a position east of Deir El Munassib, and giving strength returns for German and Italian tanks.
