Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the German secret service: that an agent is to obtain from General Giraud the French attitudes and intentions against Allied landings in north and west Africa, with an extract from September 22; of C's proposed action; of German information about the Allied plans in Africa, as of September 28; that rumours are reaching the Germans that the Allies have intentions for an invasion; and the German reaction to this.
