Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of the Panzer Army's dispositions for coastal defence, on September 25; on the German police (SS): of activity in Europe, and deaths at Auschwitz, in September; this file also includes messages from the Japanese minister in the Vatican, relating rumours of Finnish-Soviet peace negotiations, on September 23; from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, giving views on the Axis strategy for a long war, on September 23; from the Japanese minister in Berne, detailing rumours of a U.S. attempt to detach Italy from the Axis, on September 24; and from the Turkish ambassador in London, stating that Churchill promises military supplies to Turkey, from September 27.
