A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Middle East: a German secret service report on Allied troop dispositions, stating that U.S. and Canadian troops are bound for the Caucasus, on September 23; on the Russian Front: of heavy fighting on the Southern Front; Naval Headlines, covering a successful Allied air raid on Benghazi, on September 22; and from the Portuguese minister in Washington, relating the level of Allied morale and U.S. determination, on September 19 (not on the coversheet).
