Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Crete: that the Germans fear an Allied invasion, from September 14; and of reinforcements at the command of the Fuehrer, on September 12; on the Russian Front: that Soviet attacks on the Central, North and Finnish fronts were repulsed due to decisive German Air Force (GAF) operations; and of strong Soviet resistance in Stalingrad; and on North Africa: that Stumme assumes command of the Panzer Army while Rommel is in Italy, from September 22.
