A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the Italians asked the German Air Force (GAF) for bombing support against the British; Naval Headlines, covering German attacks on Arctic convoys, the British attack near Tobruk, and shipping bound for Tobruk; from the Japanese ambassador in Kuibyshev, on talks between Stalin and Churchill, on September 4; and from the Japanese ambassador in Rome, describing Italian concerns over Spain and Chile, on September 15.
