This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the Italians asked the German Air Force (GAF) for bombing support against the British; Naval Headlines, covering German attacks on Arctic convoys, the British attack near Tobruk, and shipping bound for Tobruk; from the Japanese ambassador in Kuibyshev, on talks between Stalin and Churchill, on September 4; and from the Japanese ambassador in Rome, describing Italian concerns over Spain and Chile, on September 15.
