Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: 1386/T28 was sent to the Director of Naval Intelligence (DNI) under 689; on North Africa: a Panzer Army day report for September 8, noting the arrival of supply ships; from the Japanese minister in Cairo, on India and activities of the Allies in Africa, on September 3; from the Japanese ambassador in Istanbul, on the new Turkish Foreign Minister's views on the war, as of September 4; from the Japanese minister in Lisbon, on the Finnish chargé's views on the Finnish situation, as of September 4; from the Japanese minister in Madrid, on a visit to Morocco and the prospects of capturing Gibraltar, on September 5; and from the Portuguese minister in Ankara, German information on the decline of morale in Germany, on September 7.
