A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Mediterranean: of precautions for the protection of a major convoy en route to Benghazi; the German Air Force (GAF) report damage to one vessel of the major convoy on September 7; from the Japanese Foreign Minister in Tokyo on Japanese-Soviet economic negotiations, on August 29; from the Turkish ambassador in Vichy, on Franco-German fears of a U.S. landing at Dakar, on September 4; from the Turkish ambassador in Berlin, on Germany putting pressure on Turkey not to remain neutral on September 4; and from the Turkish ambassador in Kuibyshev on the war between the Soviets and the Germans, on September 5.
