Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that new appointments of commanding officers are to take effect on September 1 and 3; of details of weapon tests on Churchill tanks that were captured at Dieppe being passed to Rommel on September 3; and a report from the Panzer Army for September 5; Naval Headlines; and messages from the Turkish ambassador in Kuibyshev on Churchill's visit to Moscow, on August 30; and on Turkish apprehensions of a second front in the Near East; and from the Turkish ambassador in Teheran on the plight of the Poles in Russia, on August 30.
