A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) in Chief South's orders to the Italian 5th Air Corps for September 1; on Yugoslavia: a German report for August 20-29, describing heightened tension; Naval Headlines, covering German and Italian activity; from the Saudi Arabian minister in Vichy, of a German-Italian disagreement on Egypt, from August 28; from the Turkish minister in Lisbon, of Japanese views on the Soviet Union, as of August 28; and that the Italian minister in Tangier dismisses the possibility of Allied landings in the Mediterranean, on August 25.
