This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) in Chief South's orders to the Italian 5th Air Corps for September 1; on Yugoslavia: a German report for August 20-29, describing heightened tension; Naval Headlines, covering German and Italian activity; from the Saudi Arabian minister in Vichy, of a German-Italian disagreement on Egypt, from August 28; from the Turkish minister in Lisbon, of Japanese views on the Soviet Union, as of August 28; and that the Italian minister in Tangier dismisses the possibility of Allied landings in the Mediterranean, on August 25.
