A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the Panzer Army is desperate for fuel supplies on August 25; a Naval Headlines report for August 27 on Italian activity; from the Japanese ambassador in Kuibyshev, speculation on the future progress of the Axis war against Russia, on August 13; and from the Japanese ambassador in Vichy, that Gaullists are gaining influence in French colonies in Africa, on August 22.
