A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports from BONIFACE: the coversheet only of a report sent to Sir Hastings Ismay for the Prime Minister (PM); from BONIFACE: sent by C to the Secretary of State for the Dominions; from the Argentinian ambassador in Rome, on Italian views on the war as of July 29, not on the coversheet; on North Africa: of a German Air Force (GAF) shortage of aviation fuel and ammunition, with all means of transport having been exhausted, on July 31; that the GAF told the Italians that air transport in Africa is at a stand-still due to the lack of fuel, on August 1; Naval Headlines, covering Italian activity (not listed on the coversheet); and further Naval Headlines, covering German activity, including that the Luetzow has been damaged, and Italian activity.
