Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of a further German Air Force (GAF) request for Italian Air Force protection of coastal shipping, on July 30; and that the GAF commodore is going to Berlin to seek the re-equipment of two units with ME109s; on the Mediterranean: of a GAF complaint that JU88 crews are arriving untrained, on July 29; Naval Headlines, covering German and Italian activity; and supplies to Tobruk; and the following messages from the Greek representative in Cairo, that the Greek Army is seeking action in Egypt, on July 25; and from the Turkish chargé in Berlin, on a heavy RAF raid on Hamburg on July 28.
