Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the Germans are using the Italians, as they have no forces available, on July 22; that a German attack, probably by the 90th Light Division, was held by heavy artillery fire; that probably the 21 Panzer Division requests German Air Force (GAF) harassment of the enemy on July 22; of arrangements for the transport of a paratroop regiment to Africa, on July 21; and of GAF instructions for the provision of field kitchens, on July 21.
