Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: the German Air Force (GAF) report that a British attack was repulsed, but the RAF suppressed German artillery fire, on July 22; that a German infantry regiment was smashed and GAF support was requested on July 22; that the 90th Light Division requested GAF support against an enemy break in on July 22; and of GAF operational orders, including preparation for attacks on warships shelling Mersa Matruh, on June 22.
