Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: that the Commander of the 4th Air Fleet became Commander in Chief (C-in-C) of the Armed Forces for the South East on July 19; on North Africa: that German lighters are en route to Tobruk; and on arrangements for the French naval forces if they leave Alexandria, on July 20; on Crete: that an Italian division is to replace German troops in Crete, on July 20; and on North Africa: the German Air Force (GAF) state that the air transportation of fuel is no longer necessary, on July 21.
