Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that 88mm guns are required urgently by German forces, on July 15; that long-range bombers were transferred to Africa from Greece, on July 15; a German Air Force (GAF) operational report for July 15; reports of RAF activities; an Italian report of an Allied column moving westwards; that the 21st Panzer Division is advancing against El Ruweihsat; of an instruction for Benghazi that all ships to Tobruk must carry adequate food supplies, from July 14; and of a shortage of aviation fuel and oil in Crete, on July 15.
