A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the Panzer Army's advance on El Alamein was held up; that Rommel is to be appointed Commander in Chief (CinC) of the Army of Occupation in Egypt; that there will be a new general officer commanding for the 15th Panzer and 90th Light Divisions; on the transport of fuel to Fuka; that the German Air Force (GAF) require maps of Syria, Palestine, Persia and the Persian Gulf; and that an Italian parachute division is to be flown to Mersa Matruh; this file also includes a report that the German advance on Ukraine continues.
