A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: a Panzer Army report on fighting around El Alamein, on July 10; that all replacement personnel for the 90th Light Division have been flown to Africa, as of July 10; with the 90th Light Division up to strength, further replacements are to be divided between the 21st and 15th Panzer Divisions, as of July 9; that a German commanding officer was too unwell to continue in post, on July 11; that German personnel and equipment are to be air transported from Crete on July 10; and of German intelligence on British troop dispositions in Egypt, on July 10; on Crete: of German Air Force (GAF) fuel stocks on July 9; and that a GAF torpedo bomber unit is not to go to Crete; on the Southern Russian Front: that the XL Panzer Corps is being pushed forward, on July 11; and of a GAF oil shortage at Kharkov, on July 11; and on the German Navy: a summary for July 11.
