Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the Panzer Army is in need of reinforcements to continue operations and occupy Egypt, on July 8; and on Panzer Army thrusts of July 9; and on the Atlantic: that two long-range German Air Force (GAF) units are to be transferred from southern Russia to Brittany and to operate under the GAF Atlantic Command, on July 9.
