Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: situation reports from German Panzer units, for July 7; and of heavy and continuous RAF attacks; and a German Navy summary for July 6: that German troop transports are to return to Danzig because of the danger from submarines; that a suspected U.S. cruiser was sunk off northern Norway during attacks against an Allied Arctic convoy; and that the Russian port of Sevastopol has been completely destroyed.
