A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that a fuel shortage on July 6 is preventing the German Air Force (GAF) from moving personnel by air from Tobruk to Shterasat; and that air transports are to return to Maleme from Tobruk, on July 7; Naval Headlines, covering German and Italian activity; from the Japanese ambassador in Ankara, views on Turkish neutrality and likely future developments, as of July 1; from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, views on the situation in India, as of July 4; and views on the possibility of a secret agreement between the Soviet Union and the U.S., on July 4.
