A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: situation reports from within the Panzer Army, for July 6; an Italian naval report of forces from the Congo and Lake Chad being en route to Egypt; of an Allied aircraft attack on the Italian Littoria division, on July 6; on North Africa: of a schedule dated July 3 for sea and air transport to Africa of German assault boats and personnel; that an intensive troop airlift from Maleme to Tobruk is to start on July 6; that all fuel arriving in Crete is to be redirected to Maleme, from July 5; and that the commander of the German 20th Corps was killed by June 27; and on the Barents Sea: that German aircraft attacked German U-boats in error, on July 5, leading to a ban on German Air Force (GAF) aircraft attacking submarines.
