Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: an Italian intelligence report on Allied movements in Palestine, Egypt and the Suez Canal, on July 3; that the Panzer Army called for urgently needed fighter protection, on July 3; and on the locations of Italian Divisions on July 3; on the French Fleet: an unconfirmed report from Admiral Darlan of a British ultimatum to the French Squadron lying in Alexandria, on July 1; and on the Southern Russian Front: a 4th Air Fleet operational report for July 2 - on the fall of Sevastopol.
