A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the Panzer Army request an air strike, on July 2; that the Panzer Army request an urgent air strike on El Alamein, on July 2; and that the German Air Force (GAF) attacked Abu Dweis, but were unable to attack El Alamein, on July 2; on Northern Europe: a GAF report on the position of a convoy, on July 1; and that a torpedo bomber attack was ordered against convoy PQ17, on July 2.
