A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Russian Front: of German progress in the Kursk and Kharkov sectors, as of July 1; on North Africa: a Panzer Army account of operations from the fall of Tobruk to June 29; a report for July 2 stating that El Alamein is surrounded; and that Kesselring is encouraged by signs of pro-Rommel sympathy in Egypt, and is promoting propaganda on July 1.
