Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following BONIFACE reports: Naval Headlines; BONIFACE reports on North Africa: that Gambut airfield was occupied by the 21st Panzer Division on June 18, and Bel Hamed was captured by the 90th Light Division; on intentions for June 18; on a warning from Kesselring about imminent sabotage attacks; and that conferences are planned for Rommel, Kesselring, von Waldau and Bastico on June 18, possibly at Panzer Army headquarters; and a further BONIFACE report: of an Italian naval report on the Mediterranean stating that little fleet activity is anticipated, on June 16.
