A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: a Panzer Army report for June 9; on strained relations between the army and the German Air Force (GAF) on June 10; on a complaint by Kesselring to Rommel about the failure of the army to follow up GAF bombing, on June 10; on GAF orders for a large-scale attack on June 11; that the GAF are requested to attack British forces on June 10; that the Panzer Army is to attack the British and Free French on June 11, and is grateful for the GAF's cooperation; and on the Panzer Army's interest in the GAF dropping leaflets on Indian troops; from the Japanese Foreign Minister, a request for further investigation of popular disturbances in India, on June 4; a German shopping list for August, as of June 8; and from the Portuguese minister in Ankara, on Axis information that China has threatened the U.S. with negotiations with Japan, on June 8.
