Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: a German report on British morale, training supplies and intentions on June 4, with a note by C that he is satisfied that U.S. cyphers in Cairo are compromised; Naval Headlines, covering Italian activity; from the Italian minister in Bucharest, that a German attack on Sevastopol is beginning, on June 6; from the Italian ambassador in Ankara, on Turkish views on Anglo-U.S. attitudes to the Soviet Union, on June 7; from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, on Ribbentrop's views on the campaign on the Russian Front, as of June 4; from Ankara to the Turkish ambassador in Berlin that there is no possibility of supplying chrome to Germany before 1943, on June 6; and from Tokyo to the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, on proposals for Japanese-German trade, on June 8 (an extract).
