Description
A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: that all air routes from Naples are stopped for 3-4 days from May 27; that the front line in North Africa is confused, as of May 27; on the German 90th Division being south east of El Adem, on May 27; on the 10th Air Corps' intentions for May 27-28; that the Fliegerfuehrer Africa is to visit the advanced battle headquarters of the Panzer Army on May 28; on a traffic ban on the southern part of the rail line from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik, on May 26; that the 4th Panzer Army is possibly in the Kursk area, on May 27; Naval Headlines; and on the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs' view of the Italian threat to France.
