A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: Naval Headlines, covering an air attack on the Prinz Eugen, on May 17; on the U.S. President's views on a post war settlement for the Near East, reported by the Egyptian minister in Washington on May 16; a Japanese report of May 13 that Chiang Kai-Shek is to confer with Wavell in India; a Japanese report of the Indian situation on May 14; an outline by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japanese policy on the future of French Indo-China, on May 15; and a Portuguese report of the situation in Timor, on May 18.
