Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: a report from the 8th Air Corps for Crimea, on May 11; on the 4th Air Fleet's and 4th Air Corps' orders for May 15; a 10th Air Corps report on an Allied convoy in the Mediterranean on May 14; on maps and photo mosaics of British fortifications in North Africa, and on anti-gas units planned for Benghazi, on May 13-14; a report of troubles caused by insurgents in Yugoslavia on May 11; that a new SS Division is being formed, from May 13; that German Air Force (GAF) units in north Norway are ready for operations related to an east-bound convoy on May 14; the Japanese minister in Bangkok reports on the Indian independence movement in Siam, on May 2; a Japanese report on Nehru's plans, from May 9; a Japanese report on Siamese actions in Burma, on May 10; a Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs comment on the conduct of the Japanese in Timor, on May 10; the Turkish ambassador in Berlin reports German pressure on Turkey, on May 8; and a Turkish report of the Romanian military attaché's views on the Russian war, on May 12.
