This file includes the following reports: a Chinese report from Vichy on French relations with the Axis, on May 11; that the Japanese Foreign Minister informed Lisbon of actions of the Australians, Dutch and Portuguese in Timor, on May 9; an intelligence report from London relayed to Tokyo by Madrid, on May 10; that the Japanese Foreign Minister denies that the Japanese were responsible for the leakage of German military secrets, on May 11; and a Turkish report of food shortages in Batumi and Tbilisi, on May 10.
