Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: a Chinese report from Vichy on French relations with the Axis, on May 11; that the Japanese Foreign Minister informed Lisbon of actions of the Australians, Dutch and Portuguese in Timor, on May 9; an intelligence report from London relayed to Tokyo by Madrid, on May 10; that the Japanese Foreign Minister denies that the Japanese were responsible for the leakage of German military secrets, on May 11; and a Turkish report of food shortages in Batumi and Tbilisi, on May 10.
