A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: that a German Air Force (GAF) attack on Suez was postponed because of the weather, on May 5; that the 8th Air Corps is to attack Taman and the Kerch peninsula, and supply ports, on May 5; Naval Headlines, covering operations against convoy PQ15, and Italian convoys in the Mediterranean; the Saudi minister in Vichy reports German and Italian demands for the use of Tunis as a war base, on May 3; the Italian consul in Lourenço Marques repeats intelligence reports of preparations for an Allied landing in Madagascar, on May 1-2; the Japanese minister in Budapest reports on relations between Hungary and Romania, on April 28; the Portuguese minister in Bucharest reports the views of the king and queen, on May 2; and the Turkish ambassador in Rome reports reactions to Hitler's latest speech, on May 1.
