A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: that the Prinz Eugen and Huascaran are to carry out a practice shoot in Trondheim on May 1; that the Chinese ambassador in London advises Chungking to use tact when expressing criticism of Allied policy, on April 26; the French ambassador in Peking reports the Communist army to be short of ammunition, on April 27; the Japanese minister in Stockholm reports the Bulgarian minister's views on the war, on April 23; and a signal to the Prime Minister (PM) from General Auchinleck in clarification of the PM's query relating to German serviceable tanks in Libya (vide 9325).
