Description

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Mediterranean: that a German Air Force (GAF) fighter group is to move from Sicily to the Russian Front, on April 25; on North Africa: of GAF recce and operations for April 25; and that Tobruk was bombed; on the Mediterranean: of GAF operations for April 25, their intentions for recce and an attack on Port Said; on North Africa: of GAF operations for April 25 and their intentions; on the Russian fronts: part of a GAF report on the ground situation on April 24; and Naval Headlines, covering Italian activity.
