This file includes the following reports on the Southern Russian Front: on German Air Force (GAF) bomber and fighter reinforcements, on April 19; on North Africa: of controversy between the GAF and Rommel over the allocation of Flak units, on April 18; on the Mediterranean: on a GAF recce and their intentions of April 20-21; the Japanese minister in Berne reports the views of colleagues on the war, on April 17; the Japanese minister in Madrid reports on the strength of the French fleet in the Mediterranean and the possibility of Laval offering it to the Axis, on April 17; the Japanese ambassador in Berlin suggests a propaganda line on Allied air raids on Japan, on April 19; the Prime Minister (PM) orders this to be shown to the U.S. President; and the Japanese minister in Lisbon reports the German military attaché's views on Portuguese-Allied relations and fears of Allied landings, on April 16.
